Serving Real Estate Consumers with Accessibility Needs
This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 1.5 hours for Real Estate Continuing Education.

This program will cover housing accessibility issues particularly for three demographics in Minnesota: 1) aging baby boomers as their physical needs change, 2) consumers who have had long-term accessibility issues and 3) veterans and others with PTSD. It provides an overview of features for many types of mobility and non-mobility needs with an opportunity for licensees to learn about resources and to ask questions.
This program is co-sponsored by the Minnesota CRS Chapter.
Cancellations after Monday, April 30, 2015 will result in a $9 cancellation fee.

Prepare to be on time as the DOC Rules require you cannot miss more than 10 minutes of class or no CE can be given

Chris Hansen
Chris is a Minnesota licensed real estate agent who incurred a traumatic brain injury which left him with PTSD. He works with a companion animal and operates an outreach for veterans called Time On the Water.

Mark Knutson
Mark Knutson was born with a physical disability requiring him to make use of a wheel-chair his entire life. He is active in many wheelchair athletic leagues and involved in networking within the physically disabled community. He has been a licensed REALTOR since 2013. He specializes in marketing towards clients with accessibility needs.

Michael Semsch
Michael is the current Director/CEO of the National Handicap Housing Institute, having first served for seven years as its Director of Property Management.

Alissa Boroff
Alissa holds degrees in Interior Design and Occupational Therapy. She is also a State of Minnesota Accessibility Specialist and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). Alissa is Director of Access Solutions (a division of Centrex Rehab).

Suzanne Sandahl
Ms. Sandahl has been in the private practice of law for over 35 years and is a certified real property law specialist. She has served as a member and past chair of the Elder Law Governing Council of the MN state bar association.

Christine Berger
Christine Berger is the Vice President of Political Affairs for the Minnesota Association of REALTORS and is staff liaison to the Diversity Committee.

Eric Kodner
Licensed as a real estate broker in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, Eric Kodner has taught real estate courses throughout the upper Midwest and taught at Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS® back in 2005-06. More recently, he has been an NAR-approved "At Home With Diversity" instructor for nearly seven years, teaching the course throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Eric is a Minnesota CRS President for 2015 and serves as a member (and former chair) of the Minnesota Association of REALTORS® Diversity Committee.
