DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy Forms Update 2025 This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 1 hour of real Estate Continuing Education This is an update course concerning the changes which have occurred to our forms for the upcoming year as well as changes made nationally to the Code of Ethics and what we are seeing in Minnesota related to the Ethics Violations, Legal Questions being asked and Statistics regarding Buyer - Seller Arbitration. **Please note: This class will be offered via the Zoom meeting platform, a live, virtual format. Materials and class attendance requirements will be located in your MNR Academy Dashboard. Video attendance is required. If you register and are unable to attend, we would appreciate it if you would let us know 48 hours in advance of the class, this way we have an opportunity to allow another student to attend since class size is limited. Note: Prepare to be on time as the DOC rules require that you cannot miss ANY of each class or NO CE can be given. Cancellation within 2 business days will result in a $10 cancellation fee. "No shows" will result in a $15 no show fee. MNR Academy MNR Academy Ryan Torpey Ryan served as director of member legal services and associate counsel for Minnesota Realtors®. Ryan is a licensed attorney in Minnesota. Prior to joining the association in 2022, he practiced civil litigation, primarily in the areas of ethics and professional liability. Ryan received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota, and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. Jonathan Kopecky Jonathan Kopecky graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in political science and theology. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1998, and has been licensed to practice law in both Iowa (since 1999) and Minnesota (since 2003). Jon practiced real estate law for five years as an associate at Ackley, Kopecky & Kingery, LLP and then practiced canon law for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for eight years. Jon joined MNR staff in May of 2013 as director of professional standards, and through his tireless work and dedication, in May 2023, became the Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at Minnesota Realtors®. He has extensive knowledge of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Code of Ethics, in addition to real estate law. Jon holds a Certificate of Scholastic Achievement for Instruction in the Professional Standards Administration Program from the NAR Executives Institute.
