DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy Resolving Transaction Disputes This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 3 hours of Real Estate Continuing Education. (Meets a requirement for the GRI Designation) This class will explore common scenarios faced by real estate professionals and the conflicts they face in the continuance of their work offering both practical and ethical solutions. There will also be a detailed explanation of the commission dispute arbitration process. Suggestions of corrective action and communication will be discussed as a standard of practice. Note: Prepare to be on time as the DOC Rules require that you cannot miss ANY of each class - or NO CE can be given. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1998, and has been licensed to practice law in both Iowa (since 1999) and Minnesota (since 2003). Jon practiced real estate law for five years as an associate at Ackley, Kopecky & Kingery, LLP and then practiced canon law for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for eight years. Jon joined MNR staff in May of 2013 as director of professional standards, and through his tireless work and dedication, in May 2023, became the Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at Minnesota Realtors®. He has extensive knowledge of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Code of Ethics, in addition to real estate law. Jon holds a Certificate of Scholastic Achievement for Instruction in the Professional Standards Administration Program from the NAR Executives Institute.
