DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy Code of Ethics Satisfies the NAR requirement for the Code of Ethics This class also satisfies a requirement for the GRI Designation. Explore common scenarios faced in the Real Estate industry and your legal and ethical duties when these situations arise. Jon Kopecky will go into the Ethics Complaint process and potential discipline if found in violation of the Code of Ethics. Case Studies may also be discussed. *Please note: This class will be offered Hybrid, with an in-person or Zoom option. If attending using the Zoom format, video attendance is required . For both the in-person or Zoom options, class materials will be available in your MNR Academy dashboard. If you register and are unable to attend, we would appreciate it if you would let us know 48 hours in advance of the class, this way we have an opportunity to allow another student to attend since class size is limited. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1998, and has been licensed to practice law in both Iowa (since 1999) and Minnesota (since 2003). Jon practiced real estate law for five years as an associate at Ackley, Kopecky & Kingery, LLP and then practiced canon law for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for eight years. Jon joined MNR staff in May of 2013 as director of professional standards, and through his tireless work and dedication, in May 2023, became the Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at Minnesota Realtors®. He has extensive knowledge of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Code of Ethics, in addition to real estate law. Jon holds a Certificate of Scholastic Achievement for Instruction in the Professional Standards Administration Program from the NAR Executives Institute. Cancelations within 2 business days will result in a $10 cancelation fee. "No shows" forfeit the registration fee.
