DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy 2024 Contracts Course This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 1.5 hours of Real Estate Continuing Education This class will explore the recent changes to contracts and forms related to Minnesota real estate transactions. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on the contract issues that come up in day-to-day business so agents will be better equipped to serve buyers and sellers after instruction on what is contractually required. **Please note: This class will be offered IN-PERSON. Materials will be sent to you via email 24-hours prior to the class.If you register and are unable to attend, we would appreciate it if you would let us know 48 hours in advance of the class, this way we have an opportunity to allow another student to attend since class size is limited. Plan to be on time as the DOC Rules require you to not miss ANY of the class or NO CE will be given. Cancellation within 2 business days will result in a $10 cancellation fee. Willmar Public Library Willmar Public Library410 5th St. SWWillmar, MN 56201 Map & Directions Jonathan Kopecky Jonathan Kopecky graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in political science and theology. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1998, and has been licensed to practice law in both Iowa (since 1999) and Minnesota (since 2003). Jon practiced real estate law for five years as an associate at Ackley, Kopecky & Kingery, LLP and then practiced canon law for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis for eight years. Jon joined MNR staff in May of 2013 as director of professional standards, and through his tireless work and dedication, in May 2023, became the Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at Minnesota Realtors®. He has extensive knowledge of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Code of Ethics, in addition to real estate law. Jon holds a Certificate of Scholastic Achievement for Instruction in the Professional Standards Administration Program from the NAR Executives Institute.
